Our Philosophy:
As a physician, I recognize the many shortcomings of our failing healthcare system. Patient care is often relegated to concession-line medicine where treatment is reduced to a one visit, one problem, one treatment philosophy.
True health is an interdependency of our physical, psychological, and spiritual self. The physician needs to take time to understand who the patient is as an individual, as well as, have a thorough knowledge of their medical and life history to fully address the patient’s needs. 
Disease has its start as a functional impairment that, left untreated, becomes a diagnosable disease that later can become the cause of death. Each disease has a past, a present, and a future tied to the progressive loss of function and vitality (see case study). I, and other specialists like me, are working to change the approach to healthcare by utilizing the development of new testing/technologies, and history taking that accelerate discovery that is driving research in medicine today.
This patient-centered approach enables one to personalize medicine using diet, lifestyle, and environment as tools in both prevention and treatment of specific chronic diseases. Complex interactions between our genes, environment and emotions is the root of many disease. Discovering the deficiencies/imbalances enables one to correct dysfunctions at its root causes.

Your first visit: What to expect
Dr. Holec structures her office for comfortable, private, individualized attention for her clients.
Your initial visit will consist of taking a comprehensive medical history and discussion. She encourages you to list problems and goals to incorporate into your care. She recognizes that many problems and illnesses are interrelated and she looks for common denominators and triggers of your imbalances.
Your second visit generally will include a comprehensive physical and prescriptions for medical testing.
Your third visit will address the findings of your test results. The results will help Dr. Holec assist you in developing an individualized health/life plan. From that point on, visits are tailored toward your individual objective. Dr. Holec believes in enabling her patients to control their own health and lives. Your treatment plan will center on this approach.
